All the pots in the showcase are made from white grogged stoneware clay,
and glaze fired to 1280oC in an electric kiln. The colours mainly
come from natural colouring oxides, some added to slips which are applied
before the first (biscuit) firing to 1000°C.
The glaze-on-glaze decoration has the white glaze applied by dipping and
the green glaze brushed on top.
All glazes and slips are made up from raw materials and were developed while
a student at Goldsmiths' College.
