All my work is made in stoneware clay, mostly thrown on an electric wheel and twice fired in an electric kiln.    

Inspiration comes from many sources - the fish arrived in my repertoire after I'd been putting the handles on my squared off dishes and thought that looks like a sardine tin, so I put the fish in the base....

I use paper resist decoration quite often, but found the detail on vertical surfaces became blurred at high temperature, so I started to add the vertical decoration in relief.  I love the character this can give to a piece - as well as being able to feel the decoration while you're using it.
